The unlikely partnership of a mastermind con-artist and a by-the-book FBI agent who have been playing cat&mouse for years! Neal Caffrey, an incredibly charming expert thief, teams up w/his captor Peter Burke in a deal that gets him freedom, for work!

When Neal (Matt Bomer) escapes from a maximum-security prison to find his love, Kate (Alexandra Daddario) who's gone missing, Peter (Tim DeKay) nabs him once again. Rather than returning to jail for his daring getaway, Neal suggests an alternate plan: he'll provide his cunning criminal expertise to assist the Feds in catching other notorious and elusive criminals. Initially wary, Peter quickly finds that Neal provides insight and intuition that cannot be found on the right side of the law. Along with the help of Peter's wife, Elizabeth (Tiffani Thiessen), Neal's right-hand man, Mozzie (Willie Garson), and the other FBI agents on Peter's team, Jones (Sharif Atkins) and Diana (Marsha Thomason) and Lauren (Natalie Morales), they solve various cases together in every episode.. and all the while, Neal & Peter's relationship continues to test that tricky balance between to trust or not to trust!
